A history of quality
Our commitment to excellence is not just to produce some special oils, but to make sure you get the oil you want.
We enjoy winning gold medals but love it even more when our customers win awards. In 2020 one of our customers won the ‘best medium style oil’ award in Australia’s major olive oil competition with our largest batch of olive oil.
Our farms are in a climatic sweet spot in south eastern Australia. Our region has a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers to stress the trees, but is far enough south that the late autumn harvest season is cold, helping us to harvest and process olives at low temperatures.
Importantly, our locations are also free from the insect pests that can reduce quality.
We grow nine major varieties of olive trees to be able to produce whatever style of olive oil you want, from milder arbosana oils to robust coratina, harvesting each of them at the right time for the required quality of oil, not to maximize the quantity.
We harvest the olives mechanically, matching our harvest speed with the capacity of the mill to ensure they are always processed quickly.
While most of the quality of oil depends on the quality of the olives brought to the olive mill, our mills have been designed to ensure quick, clean, and efficient processing.
Low temperatures and control of time at each stage of the process ensure the natural flavours of the olive are preserved.
Each year we enter one or more competitions and have been consistently awarded medals. Our customers have also won many gold medals and even best in class awards with olive oil they have sourced from us.
